I have lived in my home for 10 years and have always had no cell service. I have always had to use my wifi service for anything on my phone. Last week we had a storm and lost cable and internet for 4 days and I work from home.
If I had cell service, I would have just used my cell for a data connection and paid dearly for the added data usage but I would have done it rather than drive 2 miles down the road to work from the front seat of my truck. Even then, I only did and hour or 2 then went back home and took time off. So that I could sit at home and stare a a TV with no service!!!
We live near the southwest corner of Bishop International Airport in Flint Michigan and nobody in our neighborhood has cell service on Verizon. (Not sure of other networks but have not heard of complaints of them)
I work from home so most of my time is spent at home paying for cell service that does not work. Usually I have to use my VOIP on my work computer to make calls through my Xfinity account. (using my xfinity data allotment)
Is there nothing that can be done to improve cell service in my area? Do I need to look at other providers?
I have reported before to no avail... Still horrible coverage here.
