I am 3 miles from the tower, I can not get any signal. I can be a 1 mile from it, and my phone works. They have worked on the tower and finished it about a week ago. I need my phone, this is how I do my work.

Hello, gspbriar, we know it's important to have service you can rely on. Are you running into service issues at a particular location? Is this happening both indoors and out? Is your phone showing a "no service" error?

Don't know what make/model your phone is, but have you checked to see if there are any software updates to install? Or you might need a new SIM card or an eSIM update if your phone is a eSIM model.
If, however, you've always had a problem picking up signal 3 miles away from the tower, it's possible that there is something blocking out the signal - if the tower is situated too high/low compared to your home's location or there's a lot of buildings in between as examples.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
