Poor Cell Signal in Saint Paul

My wife and I have been struggling with extremely poor cell signal in our neighborhood on Cathedral Hill in Saint Paul.  I have been in the middle of phone calls when driving home and will lose the call as soon as I am within 3 blocks of our house.  We constantly are dropping calls or getting poor reception in our house, especially if we move from room to room. As soon as I am more than 3 blocks away from my house my signal will go from 1 bar to 4. Prior to last year we had very good service in our house and the area

I have called customer service multiple times. They reset the network signal on phone. Now they are sending me a WiFi signal boost for my house. That will only work in my house, but will do nothing for the surrounding area. On one of my calls to customer service I was told that the issue is the conversion to 5G . There have been similar posts from individuals who live in the same area. What is Verizon doing to fix this issue?

Can confirm. VZ signal has never been good in Saint Paul  (going back to 2020), but it has been TERRIBLE for months now.  I know many other people are having trouble, residential and business. We're all wondering why this isn't making the news. There are huge swathes when outside, walking or in a car with a significant portion of a part of St. Clair, for example with zero signal.

On the other side of the duplex I live in, the landlord can make/take calls in one spot in his home:  on his bed with his head turned a certain way. On my side, it's almost as bad. No reception in the back third of the house, spotty in the front. This is an actual security/emergency issue in the event of a break-in or medical emergency.

I'm completely boggled by why people are putting up with this grossly substandard  service.

I'll conclude with two questions:  Why is this happening (looking for specifics here), and what is VZ going to do about it?

Thanks.
