Poor Coverage

Last week I was in Las Vegas for a week.  Many days, only 1-2 bars service, very slow connections.  Last weekend I was in Alabama, 4 bars, LTE, couldn't even receive a text or email much less view anything from a browser.  Today, I'm at home, I can see your tower from my backyard, 3 bars service, apps won't refresh.

What is going on with Verizon?  I'm finding more locations with poor service than good!
