My family has had poor cell quality at home ever since we moved 11 years ago and I'm hoping for some suggestions. We get 0-1 bars of service throughout the house. We live in a NW suburb of Chicago, so one would expect better coverage from the "#1 coverage provider." I am looking for a low/no cost option to increase cellular quality as we already spend more than enough for the 5 of us on our plan. Does anyone have any suggestions of things that have worked?

Eleven years is quite a while to have service issues indoor. Nevertheless, we are glad you reached out to us for suggestions. Although we take great pride in being the most reliable service provider, there are some areas that could improve.
With that being said, our maps are not a guarantee of coverage and contain areas of no service, and are a general prediction of where rates apply based on our internal data. Wireless service is subject to network and transmission limitations, including cell site unavailability, particularly near boundaries and in remote areas. Customer equipment, weather, topography and other environmental considerations associated with radio technology also affect service and service may vary significantly within buildings.
When you are indoors we do recommend the Network Extender or WiFi Calling (if applicable).

If you have newer phones and you have wifi in the house, just use wifi calling.

Remember, VZW (nor any other carrier) guarantees a network connection inside of any structure.
