There is a dead spot in network coverage in downtown Lansing, Michigan. It started about three months ago, and it is what prompted me to switch carriers from T-mobile to Verizon. However, I have the same problem with both carriers. So I bought a new phone (Pixel 6a Pro), and I still have the same problem.
A few blocks away from my home, I have 5 bars of 5G signal. But for three blocks around my home, I only have one bar. I'm dropping calls all the time in my own home (whether I'm inside or outside). This is in the middle of a city, at the top of a hill, six blocks from the Capitol building, right off of a state highway.
The only response I've gotten from both T-mobile and Verizon is "well look into it." But months later, the problem remains.
How can I get the carriers to actually look into this dead zone?
The screenshot below is from netmonster, which is the app Verizon recommended to me for signal information.
