Porting sos problem

Regretfully I made the dreadful mistake of porting my number to verizon prepaid. I have spent hours on the phone to no avail until they closed for the day leaving me on hold to listen to music due to closing for the day. While customer service has been okay they have not fixed the problem.  Since they didn't know how to fix it they kept bouncing me around from department to department inspite of me repeatedly asking for a supervisor. No one would let me speak to a supervisor.  The best part: since verizon won't let you register a new account or even create one to get help without receiving a text to my ported number; I'm out of luck.  Since they have closed hours ago I'm stuck waiting for them to let me call in when they open again. I'm a firefighter, mom, and wife who's phone number is stuck in sos mode. I have warned my fellow firefighters that I work with to avoid verizon at all costs: it has been a headache that's not resolved. Also, I can't log into my work from home to check messages etc or to any of my other accounts because I have no access to my cell number to receive the necessary sms verification codes. Disgraceful and I am beyond disappointed. Only wish I could roll back the clock and never have done this.

Having issues with the port process, can be of different reasons. Check your device under your cellular to make sure the data is on, and your plan is in place on the device. Once you have finished this check to make sure that your device is unlocked from your previous carrier as well. Ensure that Find My is turned off, and that you are in a Verizon network to receive the port process. Check that the transfer pin from the other carrier was successful as well, and that you received the email from Verizon saying the port process was complete. If none of these steps work, call in to the tier 2 prepaid services, where they have the resources to ensure your device is going to get fixed, and work as it should. 888-294-6804. Listen for tech support when you do call in.
