When I purchased my phone, there was a promotional discount going on for $150 off the device total, making the payments $22.75 instead of $29.00. This did not reflect on my bill a month later, so I called and was told it may take 2-3 billing cycles. 3 months later and it was still not showing. I have now been told that my device purchase did not meet the requirements as the promotion had expired. I would NOT have bought the phone if I had known that. The representative I chatted with to purchase the phone told me in WRITING the promotion was ending that day. I have the chat manuscript saved. I was told on the phone today there is NOTHING I can do to get the $150 off. I am seriously considering switching to a different provider, I have already gotten quotes. Is it even legal to change the sale price of something after it is purchased? I feel as though this was all a dup.

Iโve been with Verizon since I was 16. This last year I convinced my partner to leave their plan and join me on my account to take advantage of a buy one get one free iPhone deal. Apparently the agent at the store made a mistake when entering the promotions which made our lives difficult and expensive ever since. I am currently waiting to talk to a customer service representative for the sixth or seventh time. Every time Every time has taken hours of my life and every time theyโve told me they would honor the promotion and my bill has never reflected that. Now our bill is over $200 a month, we never wouldโve done this if we would have known we would have been tricked Into spending an additional $800. The amount of broken promises and the apparent difficulty in fixing this problem has been so demoralizing. I feel like Iโve let my partner down by asking him to come to this company. We feel as though we have been swindled. I donโt know why Verizon wonโt make this right.

I read online that you can contact the Better Business Bureau, tweet at Verizon and maybe get results before going to small claims court.
