RCS on Verizon “Second Number” Product

TL;DR:
Has anyone successfully gotten RCS working on both numbers when using Verizon’s Second Number product (the add-on that gives you a second line on the same SIM)? My main line shows RCS as “Connected,” but the second number keeps saying “Not supported (4001)” in Google Messages.
---
I recently set up Verizon’s Second Number add-on and wanted to see if anyone else is using it with Google Messages and has both numbers on RCS.
Here’s the situation:
- I’m using a Pixel 10 Pro XL.
- I use Google Messages (beta) as my default messaging app.
- My personal line (the original Verizon number) works perfectly with RCS.
- I added the Second Number line for work/business purposes.
- I ported that second number in from Google Voice — the port order started Oct 18 and completed Oct 20.
- Calls and SMS/MMS on the second line work fine. Google Voice is fully disconnected now.
- But RCS for the second number fails with status 4001 “Not supported.”
From what I understand, the Second Number feature shares the data connection of the primary SIM rather than having its own independent data profile, so maybe that’s part of it. Still, this product has been around for a bit, and I’d assume other people have tried this setup.
So, has anyone here actually gotten RCS active on both numbers with Verizon’s Second Number?
If so, how long did it take, and did Verizon have to do anything special on their end (provisioning, reprovisioning, etc.)?
(Just trying to confirm whether this is a provisioning delay or if RCS flat-out isn’t supported on the Second Number service yet.)
Appreciate any insights!

The Second Number line is a talk/text only number added to your primary dual-SIM phone. RCS texts are encrypted, and use data, so are not "traditional" texts per se. Since Second Number has no data access at all, RCS texting will not work.
