Rebate Scam Advice

I signed up for verizons black friday promo 2020. Switching over from tmobile verizon said they would give me $400 for each new line. I switched over my whole family so that was supposed to get me $2,000 in gift cards they said I would receive in 6-8 weeks. I ordered over the phone with a rep and confirmed with him there would be nothing else I need to do after like submit any forms for the rebate and he said he helped me take care of that and there is nothing else that needs to be done just wait the 6-8 weeks. I waited and never received anything. After that I called verizon back and spoke to another customer service agent regarding why I never received the rebate. She said the rep did not submit what I was supposed to but that she could take care of it on her end since it was past the time I could submit on my own and I would receive it in a few weeks. It has now been 8 months and I am so frustrated because I still have not received anything from them and I think they are just giving me the run around. In addition to that they are charging me more than what the rep I signed up with told me I would be charged after trading in devices etc. but my main thing is I can't let that $2,000 go. If anyone had had this issue before can you please let me know what you did to resolve it? I am thinking about taking it to small claims if anyone has experience with this any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

No they offered me half the amount which I will not accept. I keep pushing to have someone review the sales call but none of them will do it. The last rep I spoke to told me I need to write a letter to the correspondence team and mail it them. I did that this week. Hopefully they are willing to review the call. If not it looks like there is no choice except to take it to small claims ๐Ÿ˜•

I had this exact same problem! Even confirmed with the store employee (twice) that nothing had to be done on my end to receive the rebate.

I even asked for an email to confirm that the rebate department filed a statement on my behalf. They also said they emailed me directly about the rebate. Neither of which was true.

I just got off the phone and the best they said they could do is 50% of what I was promised. No thank you. I'm done being on hold for extended amounts of time. All I want is what was promised to me.

I'm currently in the process of filing a legal claim.
