Removing my name from a plan and getting on a plan on my own

Hello,

I am currently on a Verizon plan with my husband's family. I am looking to remove my name from this plan, and get on a new, separate plan with just myself. I am an account manager on the plan currently. Am I able to do this? I have gotten so many different answers.

If the group account is a postpaid one and you also have a separate postpaid account set up, then yes, you can transfer your line to an account of your own.  You may need the authorization of the Account Owner of the group account even though you are an Account Manager, since it is your line you want to move.  Not sure on that part.  There's plenty of info in the transfer service FAQs:

Hi there! We are happy to guide you in the best direction to establish a new account and transfer your current line to the new account. We sent you a Private message to get started. -Nikki

I have the same issue. I  want to have my husband's account separated from mine so that we BOTH have our own personal accounts.  Right now we are both on the same account.  I want my own account and he wants his own account.  Just as if we were divorced or something:) What is the process?  thanks so much.

Hello jUmPerS5! It would be the same Transfer Your Service process mentioned above. Those steps are available on our page here.
