SIM Swap at a corporate store, lost my data connection

Two devices:

1) Lumia 928, running Windows 10 Mobile (W10M) Insider Preview.  Worked fine until December 24, 2015, when the screen went out.  After unsuccessful troubleshooting, I went out and bought....

2) Lumia 735, running Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview (Production build, the most stable one), worked great until I visited the Verizon store.

Put my non-working 928 on the charger the other day after 6 months laying dormant and it worked!  So I went to the corporate store to SIM-swap back to my 928.  Uses micro-SIM, 735 uses nano-SIM, so they're incompatible.

Went to store with my working 735.  Swapped SIMs, voice on the 928 worked, left the store.  Noticed shortly after that I had no data connection.  I can make voice calls just fine, shows me connected to Verizon LTE.  However, no websites, no email, etc.

Okay, maybe the radio in the 928 went bad.  That's fine.  Just reactivate my 735 and I'll be on my way.  SIM-swapped back. Now my 735 has no data.  Same situation as the 928.  Voice works, however no websites, no email, no data.

No settings were changed on either device.  Both worked just fine on the network just prior to the SIM-swap (the 928 hadn't been used on the network since December, but it worked fine on the network then and nothing was changed in the settings).

Spent an hour in the store as the VZW rep talked on the phone with tech support.  No solution was reached.

They mentioned I may need to factory reset, which I'm fine doing...but how is my software the issue?  It worked just fine 20 minutes earlier and nothing was changed EXCEPT a new SIM was activated.

There's a support ticket, but I haven't heard anything back yet.  I'm on day 2 with no data.

Anyone run into this issue before?

So......this insider preview edition is not an official build, correct? That's question number 1.
