Sales associate

We traded in our old iphones & an iWatch for upgrade. We told the associate we wanted to pay for the phones up front instead of pay monthly. He calculated the amount & gave us the total. Asked if we wanted separate line for the iWatch which we declined. After paying over $500, I get my bill & we are being charged monthly fee for phones & given a new line for the iWatch. There were multiple fees on the original bill that we were never told about, such as $50 to transfer our info to new phones & $35 per phone because we got new ones?? And exorbitant tax fees. When I called Verizon originally I was promised that they would give me a monthly discount. Did not see it on my bill so called back & no one knew about a discount. Plus was told a line was required to get the promo on the Watch which we were never told. Would have gotten the iWatch some place else if I had known. Verizon refuses to remove extra line unless the iWatch is paid in full for & refuses to reimburse any of the fees even though we were never told about them. Now I am stuck with a line I didnโ€™t want & a bunch of ridiculous fees! I canโ€™t change providers until the phones are paid off. Customer for almost 20 years & this is how they treat you!!

The smartwatch wouldn't have worked unless it had a separate line of its own.  As for the phone setup fee and data transfer fees, those aren't part of a package deal, but you get charged those fees if you let the store employees do the new phone setup and data transfer from old devices.  If the store employee didn't tell you about the charges for doing so, shame on them, but it is what it is.

As for the trade-in credit not appearing on your bill, that's some kind of mess-up.  You'll need confirmation that the trade-ins were received and processed when wrangling with Verizon about that.  Best of luck to you.

The watch will work without a line of its own. We already had one with no separate line for it. You just sync it with your iPhone. All we wanted to do was upgrade to a newer one.
