stug, we're the toughest network and we offer the toughest devices too. Click http://vz.to/1h7GnNW to view our ruggedized phones. Meanwhile, you can verify if a non-Verizon Wireles devices is compatible on our network right here: http://vz.to/17KwMIV

Actually... NexTel phones have traditionally been 'tougher'.  Verizon offers the the Samsung Convoy, which by all account pales in comparison to even the 'weakest' Sonim phone.  Seriously, read about Sonim if you haven't, they're amazingly robust devices.

Verizon is NOTORIOUS for refusing devices even though the device will support the network, and the network will support the device.  This has traditionally been the case in many of the newer Android devices.  The ascertainable reason this would be the case is VZW not getting their kickbacks.

You do have the largest network for LTE and 'XLTE' in America.  It's a fantastic network, yes.  But, that said, Verizon is still a technological bully.

I have to take issue with the previous comment that Samsung Convoy phones are inferior to Sonim. I had Convoys for YEARS and only recently had to move from the convoy 4 to a sonim xp3800 because I couldn't find any convoy available for 4g/5g....If one existed, I would gleefully move from the sonim to the convoy because I found the Convoy MUCH easier to use with features that were smoother and more logical.

The sonim is a heavier phone and is billed as being waterproof, with IS more than the convoy had going for it physically. However, too many of the mechanisms and feature on the sonim are grossly lacking in convenience and ease.  One really annoying feature is that whatever screen you are on when you close your phone is exactly where it will be when you open it again. There is no automatic reset or home screen. Sometimes that can be a positive but usually NOT.  Maneuvering around the features is extremely cumbersome and clunky, at least compared to the way the Convoy was set up.  Having said all this, it COULD just be that the convoy was more compatible to my way of thinking and the sonim is totally opposite BUT someone else might find the sonim to be compatible and the convoy to be opposite. In any case, the point is moot since I know of no convoy that is compatible with 4/5g, rendering it obsolete before it's time.    SAMSUNG!!! PLEASE UPDATE THE CONVOY to 4/5G!!!!!!
