Why post a message like this with no reason as to why you feel this way? I understand if you feel wronged, you'd want to reach out and prevent other people from the same thing happening to you, but why do you think that they are crooks?

People feel like they are the Pied Piper and by somehow posting on an anonymous messageboard people will suddenly wake up and realize how evil Verizon is an switch based on their dubious accusations. Why people feel like they possess this power I'm not sure. maybe they get some level of satisfaction out of it thinking they got back at Verizon. Which of course they didn't since the number of people switching because of their post is less than 1.

This person was probably so angry, that they couldn't even begin to explain why. I know what they probably went through. Verizon offered me $559 ea. For the trade ins of 2 S10es for the new 21s. I'll make a long story short, but will tell you that after making 3+ calls a week they finally sent me the return labels and shipment packaging for the S10s. Meanwhile my bills were astronomical because they had me paying off the new phones without the discount.  After they received the old phones, they sent me one email explaining that they were applying the discount to the black phone, but no information was provided for the blue phone.

I found this peculiar, but waited a few minutes and decided to check my account and a message was there saying that my blue phone wasn't worth the full trade in value, but only half. My phone was perfect and had insurance on it! They claimed it was damaged, so I had to pay full price for my blue phone. My 21 yr old son has the black phone and uses his contantly!!! My phone is not used as much because of Bluetooth in and out of my car. It has never been dropped.

It's no different at ATT or any other phone company.  They are big businesses and they will do what they can to get money from you.

Make sure you ask what EVERYTHING costs, because they probably won't offer that information, but will have to tell you if you ask. (example:  If you switch today, we'll throw in a charger and a case.  They won't mention that will be an extra 50$)

I don't blame individual sales people as they are just doing their jobs, reading from scripts, trying to feed their families like the rest of us.  The general corporate policy (in America), to keep shareholders happy and profits as high as possible is at the root.

I'm sorry you are frustrated, not sure what happened.  I just switched over from ATT because I was frustrated with them, and figured, I may as well be frustrated but getting better coverage, a better phone and a better employee discount. FWIW, the switch is not going smoothly, and they have already messed up my phone activation---instead of activating immediately or within hours, it's going to take 3 or 4 days.  I'm not happy about it, but its too much hassle and too much $ to lose to try to switch back at this point.

4 years with VZW and not ONE single problem.

3 with T-Mobile and I had to write a letter to the BBB to get any resolution.

4 with AT&T and had dropped calls everywhere and was charged a fee without being told.

I also never ask for something that can't be done for me. This way I never set myself up for disappointment and give myself the chance to get angry. I sign my contracts, pay my bill and wait until I am due something before I ask for it.
