Granby Connecticut had a bad storm Thursday evening. High winds, heavy rain, microburst, and lightning damage. Trees, poles, knocked down in some areas Damage apparently has included Verizon towers in the area. 5g is no longer active. Have LTE only. Barely usable.
Called to put on a report. Very frustrating experience. I did not get the feeling that the woman I spoke to had any grasp of what my complaint was.
Zip codes affected would be southwick massachusetts, Granby connecticut. 06090, 06035, 06060, 01077, 01085

That does sound like quite the messy storm, Momma23dogs. I hope everyone is okay after all that damage, and I too would share your concern if my service wasn't working as expected. I know I would be reaching out again if I wasn't confident with the resolution that was offered when I reached out for help, and I am here to assist. Since we will need account access to take a look for this ticket, please be on the lookout for a private message from me.

Thank you. Message sent. The storm took out internet also, so my data is very slow. We usually use Wi-Fi calling at home. I traveled out of the area to access data.

Hi, hope you're otherwise OK. If you're only getting LTE and barely, it's probably because Verizon has mobile cells on wheels (COWs) out as an emergency service because the towers are not working, or else the towers are gimping along on backup power regularly due to power outages. The "check network status" link under "Get help from Verizon" must surely have a report of outages for those locations, but I'd have to guess it's going to be a matter of time with needing to get things cleaned up and fixed.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
