Trying to trade in an iPad on the website. It asks me for the type and I select iPad2 WiFi only. It then says I should get $100 for me trade but asks for the IMEI. Since it's a WiFi only mode it doesn't have one. I tried the device serial but just get the message " This device is not eligible for trade in, please try with different device. "
Any help?

What are you expecting Verizon to do with a device they can't do anything with? Wifi only models are are cheaper for a reason, a carrier doesn't want them. You'd be bettet served selling on eBay.

We apologize for any inconvenience. The website does require the IMEI to process the trade-in, it's how our inventory tracks it. However, you can also take the device to a store to trade-in. Check out stores near you here: www.vzw.com/stores/. Please make sure to take it to a corporate store. -BrittanyC_VZW

Someone on reddit was able to help me. For WiFi only models I was able to provide the MAC ID in the place of the IMEI.

We are glad to read that you were able to use the MAC ID for the trade-in. We want to make sure that we address all of your concerns today. Is there anything else we can help with?
