Unable to update payment method on iPhone 14 Pro Max order

Why is it impossible to update payment method on an order placed? Seems like this is an ongoing issue around this time. And somehow no one can help. Its very frustrating because if I cancel the order I will wait possibly another month or two. All I'm trying to do is pay! Why can't someone take my payment???
