Updating Email Address

I have updated and verified my Verizon profile with my new gmail.com address for months now. No matter who I talk to or how many times I verify the correct address for the website, Verizon still sends all notifications to my old cox.net email address. I have been trying to change this for several months now with no luck. I have called and also used the chat for service multiple times and just get told (incorrectly) it is already fixed and I have to just try again the next day (after they try to sell some added service to me). 

I am just about ready to quit Verizon if this cannot be fixed.  Any suggestions?

I'm surprised one can't update their contact info in My Verizon?  Unless maybe you're not the Account Owner, in which case the Account Owner needs to do it for you.
