I have just set up the Verizon Wireless Home Internet Module in my new house. The speeds are pretty slow and I'm guessing it's due to weak signal. The area is pretty hilly so I'm thinking of putting a cell phone signal booster (antennae and amplifier) on the roof of my house. Most amplifiers appear to work only on certain bands...so how do I find out what band my Home Internet is using and which direction should I aim the antennae? Per Cellmapper, I have two towers...one only 1.4 miles away with bands 2, 5, 13, 66....the other is 4.4 miles away using bands 5, 13, 66. The amplifier I had originally purchased was supposedly for verizon and At&t but appears to only support bands 12, 13, 17. So I may have to find another....but I sure like to find a way to determine what tower my Home Internet is connecting to and the band it's using....can anyone help?
