I was out of a contract and Verizon enticed me with a loyalty discount to upgrade to a smartphone and sign a new contract. I hesitated but did after the customer rep said that if I see that I need more data just call and purchase two more gig for 10 dollars. When is was running out after two weeks, I called to purchase more data and was told that I couldn't because I was on a loyalty program. I would just have to go over and be charged 10 dollars for each gig instead of 10 for 2 gigs.
A couple days later I was told that I could not use my phone as a hotspot again because I was on a loyalty program.
So I feel that Verizon got me to re-sign without mentioning all the restrictions that are on the 'loyalty' program. So it's just a way of charging you in one are when it looks like you're saving in another area. Very deceitful, in my opinion. I'm very disappointed in them after being with them for 12 years now.

Exactly which plan and data plan do you have?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

She has the single line 60$ a month loyalty plan, unl talk and text and 2 GB of data. That plan usually costs 100$ a month (40$ for smartphone 60$ for plan). This doesn't include mobile hotspot feature, you can't increase the data limit, and you cannot get an employee discount the Loyalty Share plan.

The $60 plan is correct, although I am a he not a she. $60 is a significant
savings on the monthly plan, and the reason i allowed myself to get back
into a contract. Yet I still don't understand why all the restrictions are
necessary. When offering the plan they definitely don't mention that it's
not like other plans and is very limited.

Generally the loyalty plan is geared toward the people who use less, so most people don't disclose the restrictions I guess, and I apologize for calling you a female. I guess because it's such a deal that there are restrictions, rr
