I just graduated from high school and I am 18 and now employed. I want to get my own phone line to get off my parents line because I want to have my phone and not get yelled at for going over the data. How can I get my own line staying with Verizon? I have no credit and I'm going to college in the fall.

Hello KrystaM.
Congratulations on completing High School and getting a job! And great on starting college. You can have your parents give you permission to take the line over into your name. A credit check would be done and you may have to put down a security deposit. You can have the account owner call Customer Service at 800-922-0204 and request an assumption of liability--you'll be assuming the line and will be financially liable for it. Best of luck to you on going out on your own. Thank you for being with Verizon.
