Verizon Wireless uses LTE bands 13, 4, 2 and I believe they have added 5 fairly recently.
Cheat sheet: which 4G LTE bands do AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint use in the USA?

There is a great app called LTE Discovery that I use, and it is very informative.. it will you the current band frequencies. It also lists tower information and direction of the towers. It is a free app.

On Apple it's called LTE Finder. A friend used it on his phone. It shows somewhat different network information. But it's helpful.

Thanks. I have the Android app LTE Discovery which is how I find out about the band 5 LTE frequency being used. It is good to know that iPhones can access similar information.

Dial *3001#12345#* for the iPhone's network statistics. "Serving Cell Info" will show the LTE band so long as the phone is on LTE.
