What’s going on with my calls to Canada?!?

For months now I have been having difficulty connecting properly my calls to Canada. It sometimes takes up to 5-6 attempts to get a call that will connect, with the other attempts either connecting and they cannot hear me at all , or connecting and they actually can hear people talking that are not me though it says me on caller ID, or so crackling or static that we can’t communicate. I call my family in Canada regularly, so I know this is an ongoing issue and affects numerous numbers I call.   Please can you help with this issue.. I have seen many people complain of the same issue.

One of our main goals is to provide reliable service, and we are concerned to learn that you are experiencing issues to communicate with your loved ones. To better assist, please tell us. Are your having problems with mobile numbers or landlines? Does it happen to every number in Canada or with one in specific?

This problem occurs when I call both a landline and a cell phone - both with Bell Canada service.

We're here to take a look at your concern. What happens when you make calls to Canada? When did this begin? ~Peter

Same here. Have been complaining to Verizon support for over a year now with zero results. And it's worse now. I love the listening to other conversations part.  I get lots of platitudinal comments that they understand and will try to resolve, but Verizon does not care about the Canadian option and this part of their ongoing business model to take the monthly fees and provide 3rd world substandard quality.  They dont care. Live with it I guess.

Same problem and so frustrating for over a year.  Called many times.  I even told the representative that there are many of us and it’s not an isolated issue or a device issue.  It’s not from the calling region either since I call from other states. Same issue.  It has to be their towers in Canada.  It’s unbelievable that this hasn’t been resolved and it’s getting worse.  Tempted to go back to ATT or trying T-Mobile.  The issues have been escalated but not resolved.  each rep is looking at it individually but not from a top down perspective

Ok, I THINK I finally got Verizon to listen to me and they're actively troubleshooting it and I believe changing companies that switch their international calls. I haven't had any issues for a few weeks now, hopefully that's the case for y'all as well.
