Even MORE of a reason to either pay full retail or go on Edge! Makes contract purchases even less attractive.

Yeah, buying a phone should be like buying anything else.  Full price and buy the service and accessories after the fact.  Just like cars, TVs, appliances, all that.  Get the main item first and everything else second instead of package deals and combo orders.

Definitely glad I quit doing 2 year pricing when my last contracts ran out. Full retail from here on out because there is nothing like a 2 phone plan with 15GB for $117 after tax

I hear ya...even if they removed the free financing for the device I'd still pay full price up front than to go back to having a contract.
