Why can't I get service at PHL (Philadelphia) Airport?

I'm a pilot for an airline based in PHL.

So, I'm there all the time.

It's the primary place I need to use my VZW 4G LTE data plan that I feel like I pay a lot for.

However, and as everyone who has been there knows, it's UNUSABLE in PHL Airport!

When will the congestion be relieved?  Speeds less than dialup are common, if you can get any traffic to move, even at non-peak airport times.

I went out and bought a TMOBILE hotspot in addition to my $180+ VZW bill in order to get some Internet in PHL!

It's funny that I should read this today, Verizon touting how great it is:

"We are meeting and exceeding our brand promise," she said. "We are delivering consistent reliable, fast service when and where our customers need it."

Unfortunately, this just isn't the case in Philadelphia.

I just want to know when to possibly expect some relief in the form of more capacity....

PHLFlyer,

I completely understand the need to stay connected where you spend a lot of time, and I'm very glad you are asking about this. We have an excellent Business department that works with locations like airports or hospitals to ensure there is adequite coverage where you and everyone else need it. If it's possible, I recommend having the Airport reach out to them directly to work towards a solution - possibly by installing Network Extenders http://vz.to/NI7pCr throughout the building. They can be reached by calling our regular customer service line at 1-800-922-0204 and requesting to be transferred to that department.
