Why is there nowhere to email customer service through the Verizon Wireless website?

Why is there nowhere to email customer service through the Verizon Wireless website? Live chat is no better than calling. If I had time to sit around on hold waiting for an answer I could do it on my phone!

If you don't have time to sit around and waiting for an answer, why don't you just Google it or ask us? What is the issue?

My questions are about my personal account. I'm not going to post personal information online.

Last I checked, companies have customer support numbers, not emails. If you need support call.

If I didn't have to wait on hold for more than an hour to get help I might call. Meanwhile we are in a modern digital era, and the key words are CUSTOMER SUPPORT, which should mean making things convenient for the customer who has spent thousands on a company over the course of more than 15 years.

Excellent question and is part of several reasons I am CANCELLING. When you sign into your account and can't see any details and the account has now been open for over a week and a half, the chat isn't working and the phone is taking waaaayyyy too long for someone to answer... Well, you start asking yourself what am I doing here? If you can't answer any of these why's then it's time to cancel, which is what I am doing right now!! Some of these companies only want your money, not your satisfaction!

The questions I have regard my bill. Communicating about personal information over an open forum is not going to happen. Apparently Verizon Wireless is only willing to provide customer service on their terms, which isn't really customer service at all.

Then if that were really how you felt you wouldn't have posted here in the first place.

I don't know why everyone says that they have to wait an hour or more to talk to a rep.

I never wait more than 2 minutes. Except during the Holiday season.

You have 2 options. Call and talk to someone or go to a store and talk to someone.

If VZW had an email for CS you wouldn't get a response for at least a week. Could you imagine sending an email, waiting a week for a response and going back and forth waiting a week in between.

You are correct in not posting personal information.  As a customer populated forum, we can provide guidance and sometimes help with other questions.

If your email and spam inbox looks anything like mine,, you can imagine how ineffecient mail would be.

I find calling *611 during late morning or in the evening gets me a live person in under 5 minutes.

I don't tweet, so that's out for me.

I have honestly found that tweeting takes way longer than calling. I don't understand why people don't pick up the phone, aside from wanting customer service on their terms.

Unfortunately Verizon doesnt really have an active forum messaging system like ATT.

Still have to "follow" a support person to send a message.  Cumbersome.

Not really just pick up the phone and call

Your question is a good one. They still don't have this option and it's now 2024 and the chat is not working either. I am calling from my computer because of my vision issues and if chat isn't going to work then the only option with Verizon is to get on hold for 30+ mins  and then explaining why you don't want this service anymore. because no one reads history in the notes.
