Will RCS on iPhone fix this MMS freezing problem?!

 this is what I get when a group text with iPhones gets aggressive. The phone completely freezes....all individual text chains look like this from the users in the group. For years this has been a problem. Will RCS fix this when it goes to iPhone?  This is infuriating.
