Hello All,
Will grandfathered Unlimited Data Plan customers get screwed over once Verizon Wireless activates their Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) service sometime in 2014?
I have an unlimited data plan, and recently had to purchase a new phone at full retail price to avoid having my unlimited plan removed. Will Verizon remove unlimited plans from our accounts even if we purchase a VoLTE phone at full retail price because their rational will be that our unlimited plans were for voice being on 3G and data being on 4G LTE, and that voice and data are now one under VoLTE and therefore our unlimited plans will not be carried on to the VoLTE service?
Thanks,

Wow. How can a question like that be answered at this point when absolutely nothing is known as to how VoLTE will be implemented? Although I would say that sooner rather than later VZW is going to axe grandfathered unlimited data plans regardless of when VoLTE will be rolled out.

Some users were speculating the unlimited data plan no longer available to even grandfathered customers after June 28, 2014. This is two years from the date Share Everything Plans were implemented and when the last customers would be out of contract after renewing their contracts two years earlier and were able to upgrade without the loss of their unlimited data plan.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
