I have spent no less than twenty hours between in store and online chat with Verizon ending in zero help!
This all started with my wife's phone not receiving calls or text randomly, some go through some don't. We went into the Verizon store in Slidell, La and both salespeople immediately suggest we just use our insurance to get a new phone, they believed the issue was with the phone. So, we spend the $50 to get a new phone shipped to us from the warranty company that we added through Verizon. Well, that did nothing. We go back in to once again try to get this resolved, also we looked at upgrading our phones. They had zero idea as to why my wife's phone was still having the same issue. I figured we would just upgrade the phones and that would be the end of it. So, we both picked out phones and upon finalizing the sale, the Verizon salesperson said they could not do the trade-in on my wife's phone because it was under a payment program already. My wife's original phone was purchased out right, no payment plan. Upon further investigation they realized the phone we received from the warranty company was not cleared properly before they sent it from to my wife, this was from the warranty company. Although they knew and could see exactly what the issue was Verizon continued to give me the run around. The manager told me he would have this issue cleared up within three days. He asked me to just give him some time, no problem. Three days passes and I decide to stop in. Naturally I approach him, and he plays it cool, "oh man Mr. Chance, we going to get you right, don't worry". Ten minutes later he leaves and does not even have the courtesy to tell me he's running out on me. An assistant manager tried to help me, once again I am in the store for over four hours only to get passed off to one person to another on the phone with tech support. Finally, they enter a ticket to have the device payment plan overridden. They gave me a ticket number and all. They tell me to give it five business days. Here I am at nine days, and no one can help.
I still have a phone that does not function correctly, out of $50 and about twenty hours of my own time!
