blowing the surprise for me, thanks Verizon

So I decided to upgrade my girlfriend's phone as a surprise for christmas, a shiny new rose gold iPhone 7. I totally rock. Except Verizon keeps sending her text messages about it saying "your order is ready" or "you have picked up your order" [Removed] I am hoping you guys don't blow it completely. Up to this point I've been able to make things up about why they are messaging her since you buzzkills didn't actually send a photo and description at least. I swear to the Flying Spaghetti Monster that if she gets a message saying something like "HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR NEW IPHONE 7??" I am going to return it. I am going to return it and I will switch to Sprint or AT&T. Most likely would be AT&T since I like their spokesperson (LOVE YOU MILANA, PLEASE BE MY MUSE).

[Removed]

Anyway, yeah, Verizon if you could stop sending my girlfriend messages about her christmas gift that is supposed to be a surprise, that would be awesome.

The account owner can change how Verizon Wireless can contact the lines on the account regarding changes to the account through their MyVerizon account online.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

when you place the order on the line it should have asked you which number you wanted to get the notifications on.... it did for me (I ordered my husband a Samsung galaxy s 7 for Christmas as well) and I've been the only one so far to get the text messages.

I just had the same problem. When I ordered phone upgrades for my kids it gave me the option to mark them as gifts so they wouldnโ€™t get notifications.

However within minutes of UPS dropping off the packages they received notification reminding them to turn off โ€œFind my iPhoneโ€ before activating their new phones.

Thanks for ruining Xmas Verizon
