Verizon has great service but isnt very customer friendly IMO... I hate to take my number and move on but Im at the end of my rope. Im not a huge "phone talker". I text and get on the net and Verizon doesnt provide a "basic" phone for my needs. Some of us dont want all the bells & whistles but if Im going to get the bells and whistles I dont want to have to watch my DATA every month.
Its a sad time for me cause I loved Verizon and I was getting a 18% discount which I wont be getting from the Pink People. I'll survive and so will Verizon Im sure

me and my family would like to go to the PINK people also, but the upgrades are holding 2 of my phones back and I certainly do not have 350 for cancellation fees on each phone.
??? for u, is there any ways around those cancellation fees?

http://www.T-Mobile.com their new program will pay off your early termination fees up to five lines. And they will require you to trade in any working phone which can earn up to $300 so its $650 per line. All you have to realize is you have to purchase a new divice from T-Mobile but can spread out the payments over 24 months. But its no contracts, a plan of unlimited everything with 2.5 GB of data is $70 for the first line, $60 for the second, $50 for lines three through ??
But make sure you have good coverage before you jump ship.
Good Luck

Tmo is now paying up to $350 ETFs and up to $300 for your phone. I took my 4 lines to Tmo and got 2 Nexus 5's and 2 Moto g's... My bill is $180 for all 4. The bill will go down $34 when my N5's are paid off, and we paid cash for the Moto's.
So... The remainder of my bill will be $146/month.. On Verizon we were paying $179 for 1 Galaxy Nexus and 3 dumb phones.. We have Great coverage in my area. 35MB/second on Tmo LTE and 15MB/second on HSPA+!!
VZW wanted $280/month for 4 smartphones!!! Umm.. Yeah right.

Possibly i'd say it'd depend on how Quick a person signs up before the grandfathering Ends.. you'd just have to check with them.. b

The providers (Sprint & T-Mobile) will continue with unlimited data, just like Verizon did to attract customers.
The reason why now Verizon let's it stay grandfathered in is that most of the customers will buy a new device at subsidy than at full price. Customers lose unlimited. Customer makes a change to their plan, bye bye unlimited, customer wants to add a device to their account, verizon tricks them into losing unlimited. Customers port out and back in, they lose unlimited.
You see that teaser of "Unlimited data" worked. Now they find its a cash stream at metered or shared data. Good business decision. Sort of like why does the dentist give lollipops to your child or yourself. Its good for business.
The other providers are going to keep using the unlimited data tactic until they too no longer have to compete. With 99% saturation in the cell industry it will now come down to gimmicks and premium services.

Yup! to me It boils down to a money thing they have the product and if you want it bad enough you'll try to get it as bargain priced as you can but if there is there's no other cost options available or you want to keep what you have as in my case you pay it full price or you simply move on...
I'm Looking to get a device at the end of Feb or maybe sometime in March.. b

They are OK, I don't prefer them over android though. Both have their high points along with some low points.
I like having widgets on my screen instead of having to open an app to see any information.
Simply a matter of personal preference, though, and someone else's is just as good as mine!
There are some very good phones out there, regardless of OS though. Too many to choose from. Right now, I am thinking about purchasing a new Moto X. Just wish I didn't have to go through the online configuration if I want to get a 32 GB version. I would prefer to simply stop in my local store to pick it up. I don't need all of the different color choices. Black or white is fine with me.

Did you see how with the iPhone 5S you can save almost anything to the screens? Neat feature. I also tried out air play between my wife's iPad Air and my friends iPhone 5s and I was amazed. Of course the Near Field Communication (NFC) on Androids do the same I believe.
You know there is a new device my wife looked at on line last night and it was a huge phone (android)

However it is only available on Sprint. Drat a double drat. I don't want to switch her to Sprint. Maybe Verizon will get it eventually.

The Mega would not be for me. I have been recently using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it seems a bit too large for my taste. I think a ~5" screen is about the right size. Anything larger and I prefer my iPad Mini, although I am considering getting a Nexus 7 as a replacement and giving the mini to my daughter.
As to iPhones, I think they are waaaayyyy overpriced with the way the Moto X is currently priced. 32 GB iPhone 5S = $749.99, 32 GB iPhone 5C = $649.99 and the 32 GB Moto X = $449.99. I don't think the iPhone is worth $200/$300 more, EVEN if I prefered iOS devices over android.
Maybe I will give the iPhone 5 another whirl tonight? Who knows? Maybe I will change my mind.

That Mega screen is what my wife wants, hint hint you know for all that YouTube and Netflix and TW TV egad.
Now she has that new Sprint Galaxy 3 Tablet with 2 GB of data she will not use it at her job. Verizon is Unlimited data on her razr.
Like Ann I bought the Nexus 7 and love it. Its a great little tablet. When I bought the new iPad Air with Retina display for my wife she retired her old first generation ipad. But I bought her the WiFi only version. I really considered buying the ipad mini with retina display for her to travel with. She changes her mind all the time.
First it was have her battery changed out on the razr then last night maybe a larger cell phone screen device. I am going crazy
