phones not communicating when on the same plan

My mother and I are on the same Verizon plan and for the past year on and off (NOT CONSISTENT) we are unable to communicate. I have four lines and a smartwatch on this plan. She and I are the only ones that have this happen. We can communicate with everyone else in the world except each other. She has to call my husband (on the same plan) to get a message to me. I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon tech support/ resetting/ even being sent a new SIM card (overnight). Verizon has said they are "escalating tech issue" and "someone will be calling me" NEVER HAPPENS, NEVER HEAR FROM THEM. I've done the following; clear call filter on both phones/unblocked ALL NUMBERS/reset wifi over and over again/reset our phones to factory (which was a nightmare)
Does anyone have any other suggestions--I hate switching providers--such a pain--but this is getting ridiculous!
