I just got new plan, to add another line and get new phone for old primary number.  When went to place order the new phone was attached to new 3rd line.  I was told by on-line help when ordering I could 'switch new phone to old number when activating.  fine except it wants me to buy the Data plan & msg option again.  Just need to switch to other number. can that be done by me on-line, or do I need to call Customer Service?  (side question...why do prepaid get 24 hour service but regular cells only get 6am to 11pm service? some of work graveyard shift)

clarify: old number is regular phone, will be using it for new 3rd line.

new phone is one that requires data plan, and want to use the 250 msg option I had ordered on this phone/old number.

 

does this make sense?

OKAY, got an answer by reading more posts !!  so thank all of you that post such great info.

by the way... do need to call Customer Service. :smileysad:
