verizon cloud doesnt recognize my number

k I have change my plan to Verizon prepaid and I have gotten a new number. I am trying to set up my cloud and when it gets to the part about choose email address. I click it and then it keeps saying it doesn't recognize my number and service only available to Verizon subcription. I don't understand that. And also I was trying to see if I can restore my cloud with my previous content.
