The only two minuses I have found with the HTC Eris so far from owning it for a couple months now are the following: 1. wireless strength sucks. where the itouch and iphone can connect to the wireless, my Eris cannot. Eris seems to need a very strong signal to allow connection. I hope in the software upgrade to 2.1 coming (before March?), it this fixes that or somebody needs to provide a fix or firmware upgrade. When wireless does connect it works fine. 2. Gmail and Exchange/POP3 Email account programs: The separate Gmail account application does NOT include a number by the side of the mailbox icon as does the Exchange/pop3 account mailbox...I like that feature. Also, the Gmail account does not have an option for how often I would like to sync my account...Exchange/pop3 does....I like that feature. In that respect, I no longer use the stand-alone Gmail program and use the POP3 to get my gmail. This allows for these two features, which I like, to be used for both accounts. Otherwise, i like the phone.
