Can you block a sender who is not 5 digit number?

This sounds so stupid. but I gave my number to someone and don't want to receive any more txts from this number, is there a way to block this sender?

You can block their calls and texts via your online MyVerizon account.  To my knowledge, there isn't a way to just block their texts.

Download NQ Call Blocker. It will allow you to block calls and SMS messages and should do the trick for you. You can get this through Google Play

Hey there!

You can certainly add Call and Message blocking and prevent their calls or texts from coming through to you. It's a free service and you can add this for up to 5 numbers for a period of 90 days. I'm using a free apps called "Call Block" which works like a charm. It blocks both incoming calls and sms messages. It also reports when a blocked call is, indeed, blocked. You might want to give this a try. However, the other service Is thru Verizon, but there is a time limit on their blocking. I believe it''s six months.

Also the last time I checked and tried to use th eone on Verizons site, it required 10 digits of a number and would reject anything less. They might have changed that but I am not sure
