This has been happening for a couple of days. Put in a service ticket. Found info on the web and uninstalled Google just I can send and receive calls now.  I use DuckDuckgo for browser anyway.

Google is messing it up.

I was having this problem and yes, it turned out to be the "Google" app. Once I went into the Play Store and updated it, works fine now. Thanks for sharing that!

Our number one goal is to keep you connected. We are aware of an issue with the LG V40 and making/receiving calls. This should be fixed with the most recent Google app update. You can make sure that everythig has been updated by going to Select > Google Playstore > Google Search > Select update to latest version (12.33.16.23.arm64).

I work at a Verizon store.  You have to go to play store click on the Google app then the 3 dots in the upper right corner and uninstall the updates.  Power cycle the phone and you are good.  It's weird too because it only affects the v40

Superman3619,

I am so sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with making calls! We are here to help, and we want to get your service working once again. Are you having trouble with calls only, or with data and text messages as well? What is your city, state, and closest intersection, so we can check your coverage in more detail?
