I turned on my phone and got the 3 guys on skateboards, but they didn't move and nothing more happened. Waited a few minutes with no reponse from any buttons and couldn't turn it off. Pulled the battery and replaced. Same thing upon trying again. Ideas?
Thanks.

I would suggest you to reset your device as well before going into a store. Here are two different ways to do so.
To reset the phone
1. Press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings > Security > Factory data reset.
2. On the Factory data reset screen, tap Reset phone and then tap Erase everything.
To reset phone with buttons
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWNand SEND buttons
2. Press the END/POWER button. You will see a screen with 3 Android images at the bottom of the screen.
3. Follow the instructions on screen to reset your phone.
* If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery then wait for a few seconds, and then turn on phone
Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the responses. I ended up taking the phone into the store. Their first comment was that I'd need a new phone, but then they spent a good 45 minutes on the phone with THEIR tech support guys convincing them that all we had was an expensive paperweight. Tried the master reset but couldn't even get that to work. Just got my replacement phone in the mail. I'm hoping for the best!
