Gained 3 gigs of sharing in one day? What?

I recently downloaded an app called, if I remember correctly, "Find my Bus" to my phone. Next thing I know, I have a text that's telling me I have used 75% of my data-sharing! Worse, the thing was useless - information I could have found through the internet! At least it was free.
Is there any way I can get that data back, for the month? I am going to need my wireless for the upcoming two weeks. I deleted the accursed data-thief, and would like to know my options.

Unfortunately Verizon won't be able to reverse data usage that was used. You can backdate the plan to the beginning of the billing cycle and up the data amount to the next plan up. That way you don't get charged overages. Guess that app wasn't free after all
