Galaxy J7 V2 has unwanted ads when I unlock phone

Every time I unlock the phone, there are ads on the home screen.

Have to clear them before I can use the phone.

Verizon store can't figure it out.

Is this normal for that phone?

Extremely obnoxious.

An installed app might be causing the problem.

A factory default of the phone with a careful review of which apps to re-install could resolve the issue. Installing Antivirus apps from Norton, Avast...etc can help.

adblock plus works well for me on phone & pc.

JET460, we want to ensure this issue gets resolved. Most likely this problem cam from an app or a website not normally visited. Have you already completed a factory data reset? Does the issue still exist?
