I have a samsung galaxy core prime and the contact list was accidentally deleted, the bigger problem is that it was never backed up. Is there any way to restore the contacts?

update, we took it to a verizon dealer and the agent moved some things to the sim card so it could update and after 15 minutes of updating he was able to restore the contact list, apparently they auto saved to the cloud, which we disabled trying to make room for the updates.

Do you know if the contacts were saved under your Gmail account or the Verizon Cloud?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Not having access to your contacts is never cool. SLACKEY492. Let's work together to see what options are available to locate and restore your contacts. Ann154 asked a great questions about the issue. Did you have a chance to check your Gmail account or your Verizon Cloud account? The Android devices are setup to back up to your Gmail account right about the box upon the Gmail setup. If you can verify if they are or are not on your Gmail account then we can proceed.

If they were not backed up at all I'm not aware of any way to recover them.
I always recommend to my friends to backup their devices in some way. A friend of mine lost of ton of content including contacts. Luckily he had registered for Verizon Messages aka Messages+ and he was able to get a good bit of contacts back that he had text conversations with.

@ slackey492,
Apparently, some wizard at VZW decided to remove the contacts (or Connections) checkbox from the Tools/Content Restore menu in the Verizon Cloud app. Or was it ever there? All the other options, Photos, songs etc. are still there. From what I've been able to find out, the contact/connections restore only takes place during --wait for it-- the phone setup process! So if you inadvertently delete some contacts, you can't restore them unless you factory the reset the phone, which I'm getting ready to do. Unbelievable. (Droid Z force, nougat, blah blah).
