Do you have a app called VZ Protect that is actually support and protection and if you keep that updated it should protect your phone.There is also a lot of them in the play store that could help keep your phone safe Malware-bytes I think it is called also does a great job against malware and I think it is still free

When you say or apps that have been attatched to my phone do you mean by the malware or apps that came with your phone??
Excellent question! A simply clean sweep is done by factory resetting the device. Make sure that your automatic restore is not turned on. This way the device will not reinstall what placed the malware on the device.
