help
Fred E,
Try this - Go to Settings (the gear icon), then Applications, then Application Manager. Swipe screens to the left till you are at the ALL listing (Dowloaded, SD Card, Running, ALL) and then scroll down till you see Calendar, and Calendar storage. Tap and you will see the option to Clear cache.
Hope this helps.
fredman1, We'd love to help walk you through these steps. What model phone do you have?EfrainM_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
Galaxy S5
EfrainM, where are you?
My guess is you have no clue how to erase this autofill data - nobody does.
Hi fredman1! Thanks for the information about your device! Which calendar are you speaking of? Outllook calendar?Facebook? The phone calendar application? Please provide me with some additional information, thanks!ChristinaB_VZWVZW SupportFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
The 'Calendar' that comes with the Samsung S5.
NOT Outlook, NOT Facebook, no other calendar,
just the standard one that came already installed....
I apologize for the delay, fedman1. If this is only happening in the Calendar try Menu>Settings>Application Manager>Scroll to All>Choose Calendar>Clear cache and/or data. This will not erase any of your events as those are stored through Google's servers.Thank you,YaleK_VZW Follow us on Twitter @VZWsupport
First off, there is no 'menu' to choose from in the
calendar itself, there is the three vertical dots, I
select that and go into the calendar and my options are:
Go To
Delete
Search
Calendars
Sync
Settings.
When I go into Settings I see nothing to choose from
as far as clearing data or cache, I see things like
'first day of week', 'show week numbers',
hide completed tasks, Lock time zone, select alert type,
notification sound, vibration and quick responses.
I have been in 'delete' and there is nothing in there
to delete along these lines.
I have been all over this device trying to find anyplace to
allow me to clear this data out and I don't see it, and neither
do the folks at my local Verizon store.
