How do you get photos back that were accidently deleted?

I was having camera issues and some photos were deleted in error.  Somehow they were sent to black folders in the photo gallery.

Any suggestions since there are 11 items in trash but can't view what that is.

If they are in the Google Photos trash bin, can you restore them?
