Is there a way to add an incoming call into a 3-way conference call?

This question is for a specific situation where 3-way conference calling might occur.

1. You are already on a call.

2. An incoming (inbound) call comes in

3. You answer the incoming call, thereby placing the current call on hold

4. The merge function magically appears to click merge to get everyone on the line... is this step possible with Android S7 Galaxy on the Verizon network?

This is not the situation where you initiate outbound calls and add all those you've called into a merged 3-way call.
