Does Verizon USA work with an unlocked Korean LG V50 ThinQ. And should I import one, would everything work like a normal U.S.A. phone?

It needs to support the correct LTE frequencies and support VoLTE for it to work on the Verizon Wireless network. Unless the model is certified, it won't support visual voicemail and Wi-Fi calling and other Verizon Wireless exclusive features.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I looked up the specs for this phone elsewhere and although CDMA is supported, I don't see n77 (5G UW, mid-band 5G used by Verizon) listed, which means you might have a problem with 5G service in general, because only n41, n260, and n261 are listed for the 5G bands. There's a decent list of 4G LTE bands, but the safest bet would be to run the IMEI on the device compatibility checker. I hope this link takes you there:
