Were you using a keyboard that you downloaded from the Google Play store or were you using the one that came with your phone?

The one that came with the phone. The last update changed it to a white ... better .... version.

It was probably the Google keyboard. Check if there is an update on the Play Store. I don't recall if you can change the color theme in that keyboard application. If not, you can always download another keyboard application that offers color theming.

Having a keyboard you are comfortable with on your phone definitely makes a big difference Roadztr. So that we can provide the correct steps, can you please provide us with the make and model phone you are using?

I have been able to return to my original keyboard by going to google play and uninstalling the new keyboard, HOWEVER, it keeps reinstalling the new one. I hate it and it is very frustrating. I am ready to switch to Apple on AT&T if I can't get this resolved. It is MY phone, not googles.

Turn off the automatic updates from the Play Store and download another keyboard application with the look you want and use that instead.

Just go to play store. Go to google keyboard. Uninstall. You will have your old keyboard back.

It only worked in the morning.  When I got home from work the Google keyboard was back.  I Uninstalled it again and then I had no keyboard.  I just went to play store and downloaded a keyboard closer than my original.

Do you have the Play Store set to automatically update your applications?
