I love using my music for ringtones myself Jeesmith. Where did you purchase your music from? Is this your own music? I do know that some music files will not be able to unlock due to it being DRM protected. You can go to the Play Store and find a ringtone application.

Go to the play store, get the zedge app or download a media editing app and use it on your music to get he ringtone how you want it. Zedge has many songs in the files to search and you can download them as well. Be advised, if you download music from your computer or a disc you own, Verizon will lock it even if you paid for it. I would strongly urge you not to use the cloud to back up files either, only use your computer, I did and now all my music, photos, and videos are gone.
