When on a call, I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me at all. I think I have muted the conversation. How do I mute and un-mute a call?

It's a Kazuna eTalk flip phone I purchased two weeks ago. The "mute" issue just came up a couple of days ago.

Thanks RogerZ_VZW. I called Tech Support and after 2 hours and 3 different reps, we reset the unit to factory specs, which fortunately fixed the problem. What a pain.

Newly activated phone. Same exact issue. Nobody can hear me. They receive my call and my sound is completely muted on their end. This model is defective and should be taken off the market.

mdorf, we want to ensure you can use your new device without issue. Since you've indicated yours is brand new, can you advise if all of the plastic film that adheres to the device while in the box has been removed so as to not cover the microphone? If the film has been removed from over the microphone, does your phone indicate it's muted via the lower left-hand side of the display during a call (if muted, it'll say Unmute. If not muted, it will say Mute.)?

I've got the same problem, yesterday I reset the phone to factory defaults and it worked - I wasn't permanently muted. However, today it went back to permanent mute. Very frustrating, need a reliable flip phone for grandma.

I found a solution I believe. My phone was muting and from this forum it appears to be a software glitch. I got them to send me a new phone, they would only replace the way less than satisfactory etalk AND it is a referb. But before I got the new one in the mail I was messing around with the old one and when I launched the audio recording app it magically turned on the microphone that continued to work afterwards, no reset!
So no idea if it will happen on the replacement or not but the phone I am now sending back works fine. Hope that helps and works for everyone.
